Vicki and Tiff Needell launched the 2003 GOSH Charity Driving Challenge in Trafalgar Square, London. In 2004 she entered the race itself with her ITV1 Speed Sunday Colleague, Lee Mackenzie.

On July 22, 2001, Vicki raced in the Ford Credit Fiesta Zetec-S Championship at Donington Park, finishing tenth overall. But, in a race within in a race, she competed against series regular Helen Moore and her fellow TV presenters Louise Goodman and Amanda Stretton, finishing first. They helped raise £250,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief

In September 2004 Vicki was up for auction on Ebay! Well, a date with Vicki was. Forty three bids were placed, with the winner paying £2650. The event was DatingDirect's National Dating Day, with the proceeds going to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.

Each year, Jeremy Clarkson's wife Francie organises an event to raise money for Helen & Douglas House, a charity providing hospice care for children and young adults. In 2005 the event raised £124,000.

On July 10, 2004, the day before her Maserati exploits at the British GP, Vicki represented Five against the BBC, ITV and Channel Four in Sport Relief. Little did she realise, standing on stage at BBC Television Centre at half-past midnight, that a few hours later she'd make history.
